Hello friends! Happy Monday! This past weekend was full of wonderful celebrations back to back. My dear fiend celebrated a birthday, nick and I turned three years old and my momma also celebrated her birthday! In the wonderful midst of all that I decided to DIY a fun pair of fluffy heels. I saw this pair about a month while scrolling down my Instagram timeline and I fell in love. Despite the fact that this style of heel looks like you’re wearing a furry animal on your feet; I find them to be quite chic!

When I put together this look I realized I was giving off major clueless vibes, where was my fluffy pen? Who knows! The best part was that tons of you really enjoyed this look!!! Which had me going nuts because all I did was layer 3 basic pieces. I wanted to share with you how put together this look. We’re going to start form the bottom up and by the end of this, you’re gonna go into your closet and put this look together in 1,2,3!

Okay. First thing you need are these fluffy heels! You could purchase a pair buuuuuttt I truly suggest you make your own. It’ll make you feel even cooler and you save lots of money! I know you have at least one of pair of strappy heels you don’t wear…use those. I made a video showing you how I made my pair so here is the link to that -> DIY Tut

Next you need some type of circle skirt. I would go with a skirt in a color that complements your heels. (Don’t be boring and use the same color as your heels!) If you’re already stuck, below are some colors that go great together to give you some sort of color palette to follow!

Now you need a long (but shorter than your skirt) top. Go for something long sleeve and super flowy, like a peasant top. This will help fall nicely over your circle skirt. Below are some great options!

And last, get that cropped sweater out! This is like the cherry on top to your look. The cropped sweater will add another layer of dimension. This is super essential in making the eyes bounce everywhere, looking at every piece but your look still flows in one direction. Which is, pointing down to those fabulous heels! Also, because you have a long sleeve layered under you can carefully pull out the top sleeves for that effortless layered cuff. Once you have your clothing pieces and shoes on then bags or accessories are sweet add ons! I just did studs, a necklace and simple cross body. Feel free to follow my look orrrr this is the part you twist your own style into. 😉
That’s it guys! Please please, if you recreate this look I’d love to see it! Tag me in any photos.

Xo, kat
