Hi guys! Today I’m sharing my last Fashion Trend Hack…for now, ha! We’ve seen all the amazing tailoring + shirting trends emerging this season and I have seen so many pieces I love so much, but again can’t really purchase at the moment! While putting together an outfit I got so stuck on that trend so I was looking through my closet and remembered this shirt which I purchased like this, but then DIY into this. So, since that’s honestly the only ‘striped-button down-tailored-like shirt’ I have I wanted to use that top as a skirt (or a dress). I knew I wanted to make this into a feminine daytime look so let me tell you what I did.

I put it on as normal, since it’s off the shoulders it’s already as low as it can get without exposing the goods! Instead of putting my arms through the sleeves I tucked them in to make it strapless. I did it because I wanted to add another top over it to give it on some contrast! Which has thing straps, hence the prior sleeve tucking.

How can you do this? Well, you can do this by getting a large striped button down shirt and instead of putting it on as normal (on your shoulders) you want to put it on from your chest down. Like I did to make it strapless! This way you can play with the sleeves and tie them as a bow in front of you or a small knot, (maybe you want to tuck them in like did) whatever you want, BUT this also gives you a little more length making the shirt into more of a mini dress.

Of course I have a wish list for button-down shirt dresses, shop with me:
